At the Australasian Dark Sky Alliance (ADSA), we’re building an army of dedicated dark sky devotees to restore the beauty of the night – protecting wildlife, preserving human wellbeing, and reigniting our connection with the stars.
Membership helps us create stargazing sanctuaries, nocturnal animal habitats, and peaceful dark sky places – making everyone’s nights brighter (and darker!)

Joining ADSA as an LGA member demonstrates your council’s commitment to environmental stewardship, community wellbeing, and preserving the wonder of the night sky for residents and visitors alike. Membership includes:
- Access to Expertise and Guidance: Receive advice and insights from ADSA on dark sky placemaking, policy development, and practical strategies to reduce light pollution. Includes 2 hours of complimentary consultancy advice per year for your council.
- Exclusive Webinars and Workshops: Participate in webinars and workshops designed specifically for councils, covering topics such as lighting regulations, wildlife impacts, community engagement, and tourism opportunities.
- Networking and Collaboration: Connect with other councils and LGAs leading the way in night sky protection and sustainable lighting practices.

Note: All Memberships run for 12 months, auto-renew via email, and are cancellable (no refunds). Fledglings are eligible only for concession holders, and members do not hold voting rights.
