Strategic Media Partnerships

As well as regular nationwide broadcasts ADSA partnered with ABC Science for National Science Week 2024, ADSA led a national dark sky awareness campaign featuring over 45 broadcast interviews.

Rapid Network Growth

ADSA’s professional network has grown significantly, with LinkedIn followers increasing from 85 to over 815 in just 12 months – a tenfold increase.

Record-Breaking Public Engagement

Webinars and public events, including our Guinness World Record that attracted over 15,000 registrations from 76 countries, engage schools, communities, and individuals in protecting the night.

Supporting Australia’s Dark Sky Legacy

ADSA has assisted every certified Dark Sky Place in Australia and developed ADSA Approved lighting, now part of the Sunshine Coast Council’s Lighting Management Plan, reinforcing our technical leadership.

Valuing Darkness Symposium and Roundtable

Valuing Darkness event brought together 210 delegates, including representatives from 35 councils, industry leaders, and conservation advocates together.

Expanding National Collaboration

From grassroots community groups to federal departments, ADSA continues to foster partnerships with councils, conservation organisations, planners, utilities, and industry.
